Shop Informaiton

Otanido is a Warabi-Mochi speciality shop located near Kawasaki Daishi Heikenji Temple on Nakamise street.

Taking pride in our traditional cooking methods, we use a copper pot to slowly knead our Warabi-Mochi so that it gains a unique texture and flavor.

We offer the three following products:
Original Kinako: made from peeled and deep roasted domestic kinako (roasted soybean flour)
Matcha: made from domestic genuine Matcha, which is added into kinako and the dough
Kurogoma Takesumi: made by mixing black sesame into Kinako and adding edible bamboo charcoal to the dough.

If you are ever visiting the Daishi Heikenji Temple, we hope you will stop by our store.

Store display lined with products. Perfect souvenirs for a Kawasaki Daishi visit.

We sell Kamaage (straight from the pot) Warabi-Mochi and Oshiruko (sweet red-bean soup with rice cake bits) at our store.

We hope you will try our Kamaage Warabi-Mochi, which is only available during the winter season.
